Billions for Ukraine and Israel but Not One Cent for the Southern Border
Speaker Mike Johnson betrays his base.
House Speaker Mike Johnson is a self-righteous traitor.
On Sunday this holy man of God used a series of Talmudic legislative procedures to ram a complex of bills through the House, for the sake of securing $100 billion in aid to Ukraine and Israel. To get the Ukraine aid through, Johnson relied on Democrat votes since a majority of the Republican caucus opposed the move.
From one perspective, this is incredible. 3 million migrants a year pour over our border and Congress does nothing! Military aged men invade us by the hundreds of thousands and the government has no response. Conservative “man of faith” Mike Johnson seemingly has no ability to find the political will to get real border security protections in place but somehow found the ability to make sure Zelensky and Netanyahu can keep sucking at the American tit to the tune of billions of dollars.
Those two clowns received enough money to build 7 border walls with Mexico.
This just goes to show that American taxpayers are pay pigs for foreigners. America is in late stage imperial collapse. Vultures circle the dying carcass, hoping to snatch up a piece for themselves. “Conservatives” like Mike Johnson are happy to help these scavengers.
Mike Johnson is a disgusting man. Johnson’s real loyalty is not to America but to Israel. In an interview with Tony Perkins of the Family Research Council, Johnson speaks at length about the importance of protecting Israel with American money. He makes no mention of the southern border.
That’s because he doesn’t care. In Johnson’s mind the modern state of Israel is the equivalent of the Biblical Israelites and therefore demands his highest loyalty. He has completely forgotten his actual citizenship and oath of office, however.
The purpose of the American government is to protect the American people. Israel is not America. Their interests are not our interests. Israel does not work to support or defend our real interests, namely, the preservation of our life, liberty, and property. It does not matter that Israel calls itself a democracy. Holding elections doesn’t make a country good; it certainly does not make a country our ally.
Mike Johnson is welcome to love Israel all he wants, but if so then he should abandon his position of power and prominence here in America and move to his true homeland. Anything else is betrayal to the oath he took to the Constitution.
A few weeks ago, I wrote about the “Judas Iscariot” human type that permeates the conservative movement. Mike Johnson is exactly such a being. He has no real loyalty to the country and its people. He claims to be a man of God but cannot wait to plunge the knife into his constituents at the first possible moment.
I must reiterate: any politician who talks about their “personal walk with Jesus Christ,” their “family values,” and their “Judeo-Christian principles” is a walking red flag. These people will stab their supposed allies in the back at the first possible moment and they’ll feel righteous about it the whole time.
Our Lord Jesus Christ warns about this kind of behavior in Mark 12:38-40:
Watch out for the Pharisees. They like to walk around in long robes, to receive greetings in the marketplaces, and to have the chief seats in the synagogues and the places of honor at banquets. They defraud widows of their houses, and for a show make lengthy prayers. These men will receive greater condemnation.
Moreover, just look at Johnson’s face. This is not a trustworthy man.
Mike Johnson is a symptom of America’s broken political system. Critics love to claim that we have “divided” government and “gridlock” in Congress. Not so! When the American uniparty really wants to get something done it happens, as if by magic.
As Representative Gerry Conolly of Virginia explained on the House floor, America’s real border is in Ukraine:
Speaker Mike Johnson agrees. That is why he went above and beyond to make sure that billions of dollars would be funneled into continuing that ugly bloodbath in eastern Europe.
The Ukrainians have no chance of victory. The average Ukrainian soldier is over 40 years old and the nation has suffered hundreds of thousands of casualties. Ukrainian forces are firing ammo faster than the West can re-supply them. It is only a matter of time before this bloodbath ends with Ukraine making serious concessions to the Russians in the east.
It is a war crime for the United States government to keep pouring gasoline on this fire. We have no business being involved. Our way of life is not at stake. There is no reason for the United States to interfere in Russia’s sphere of influence.
Yet here we are. Mike Johnson, that sanctimonious prick, abandoned the will of the voters because he wanted “to be on the right side of history.” CNN couldn’t get enough, comparing Johnson to Churchill, and praising him for preserving and prolonging “the central planks of President Joe Biden’s foreign policy less than seven months before he seeks reelection.”
That is all the GOP seems good for: helping Democrats achieve their aims at all costs. I have yet to see a single Republican leader, other than Trump, who is not dedicated to snatching defeat from the jaws of victory at every possible opportunity. Without American aid, the Ukrainians likely would have collapsed this summer, dealing a serious blow to Biden’s presidency right before the election. Now with all those American dollars and weapons, the war will likely continue until next year.
Mike Johnson just pulled Joe Biden’s chestnuts out of the fire.
This state of affairs means that even if Donald Trump wins, he will immediately have to deal with an enormous foreign policy disaster. Liberals, in the event of the Ukrainian collapse, will demand a response that is designed to provoke even further escalation by NATO and the Putin. These people are psychopaths. Just look at what happened on the House floor after Johnson got Zelensky his aid:
America cannot go on like this. We are a nation ruled by traitors, clowns, and the mentally disabled (see below).
There is no going back to the “old normal.” The only way out of this mess is going to be through serious pain. The only question now is how much.
There is no future for the traitors and closeted homosexuals of the self-righteous right. That ship has sailed. Mike Johnson represents the death throes of that movement. At this point, I am convinced that Democrats will flip the House no matter what happens in the Presidential election.
The GOP desperately wants to lose and to take Trump down with them. That first option seems nearly certain. The question of whether they can take Trump out too, is a much harder and more difficult proposition.
Regardless, the GOP is done. There is no future for these people. You can only betray your voters so many times before they figure out that you hate them. Mike Johnson can preen all he wants: this short term victory he secured for Israel and Biden has only served to condemn the entire political project he and his type represents.
In the end, every Judas will get his just reward. The Potter’s field awaits, Mr. Speaker.
I agree. My current issue is I'm not sure that the actual conservatives have a way out. I'm not a fan of the silicon valley right wing progressives as that seems to be just trading one type of managerial elite for another. NS Lyons recently spoke at the National Convention in Brussels and advocated for a bottom up conservative movement through parallel institutions. I like this idea, but unfortunately, conservatives are really really bad at it. I'm not sure we can get organised into anything and its more likely that the far left will be the ones creating the parallel institutions. You can't wait until everything is destroyed to start building. You need to start now so you are ready when things start falling apart. Do you think project 2025 will fill this hole?
Project 2025 is vital. We need a team of Trump, Stephen Miller, JD Vance, Doug MacGregor, John McEntee, and anyone else with the will to affect change to get in and start ripping people apart.
