Life Update

I will be teaching at West Virginia University in the fall.

I am proud to announce that I have accepted an offer to join West Virginia University’s Washington Center for Civics, Culture, and Statesmanship as an Assistant Professor, beginning in the fall.

The driving impulse behind my scholarly work has always been to engage seriously with the question of justice. My aim is that this work would benefit my fellow students, scholars, and citizens.

I am grateful for the opportunity to share that devotion to liberal education, free speech, and dogged investigation in the classroom.

It is an honor.

I am particularly grateful to Dr. Patrick Miller, the Center’s Director, for his faith in my abilities and willingness to bring me on board.

My scholarly focus will be on American history and political thought, as well as foreign policy. I also intend to expand my work on classical and modern political philosophy.

I should also note that I completed my PhD at Hillsdale College this spring. I aim to publish my dissertation, “To Match Slaughter with Greater Slaughter: FDR, the Pacific War, and the Birth of the New World Order,” in the near future.
