Of course you are right.

This quote gets me "The presence of women on the security detail for the world’s most important political figure shows that we have actively unlearned things about human nature that our forebearers already knew. We are actively losing scientific knowledge."

They don't even know the what a women is anymore.

We have a new definition: "An incompetent fattie hired absent the ability to pass a basic physical qualification test, unable to properly handle a firearm, who turns to panicked jelly when faced with doing the job she was hired for.".

The amount of apologetics and mental gymnastics around this online is astounding - that it was an incredibly hard shot to pull off so they didn’t expect it, or that the CS teams couldn’t see that roof so couldn’t have known.

On the KD course S-1 guys would easily be hitting black from the 200, standing. I could take any random 19yo SOI grad, have him make a sketch and realize there was a dead zone on that roof that needs covered. Or idk the basic intuition that any potential vantage point within 800m needs covered. And we got some epic photos but that the SS team let their principal stand up and expose himself to the crowd for multiple seconds after receiving fire, with the one guy behind Trump just awkwardly holding his arm overhead.

Yes coaching from the sidelines is easy but anyone with a minimum of experience in this domain can tell what an absolute clown show this was.

Yeah that was the same shot as the "moving targets" portion of the old USMC table 2 rifle qual. The portion where almost everyone hits every shot. In other words, the most basically trained person with a rifle can hit that. We're just lucky the kid was inexperienced and probably jittery and rushing.

I substantially agree with everything written here. I would like to point out an alternative explanation for not clearing and controlling the roof. The Secret Service team were very low on resources. They had called this out multiple times to the DEI-hire head of the Service and been refused assistance. In those circumstances their zone of responsibility necessarily had to contract to the immediate area around the President. Nearby rooftops were delegated to state and local police. In turn this created a coordination problem that armed men on the rooftops might be part of the police security operation. Potentially the wilful under-resourcing of the Secret Service detail is the root cause of the failure. Not to deny other alternative explanations.

The understaffed argument while accurate and valid (they have been asking for augmentation to his protection detail and been rebuffed by the DEI girl-boss - could have easily been addressed by posting one observer on the water tower, that is the high point for miles. It no only has clear line of sight over the entire event field it has the same of the roof top the shooter traversed and set up on. One man, with a radio, to cover all the roof tops at the event.

And as for radios, how is it the SS advance team didn't ensure their one force multiplier (communications) was seamless?

While in the military we worked with locals, sister services and foreign military and always ensured we had comms nailed.

I'd encourage all to tune into Dan Bongino's podcast tomorrow (Monday). He will have the best analysis of this colossal failure and the details we are all overlooking.

This understaffing excuse doesn’t fly. That building should have had an agent posted on it, end of story. Local cops could’ve been on crowd control, and patrolling the perimeter of the event. It was either sheer incomoetence or an inside job. All agents in charge of the semantics of the security detail as well as the bumbling DEI hires that where around the president should be canned.

Gilgamech's avatar

The resource limitations are just a fact. There's no arguing it. I agree they should have got local cops up there but they did not have enough Secret Service agents. They repeatedly requested more and Cheadle or Mayorkas turned them down. That's on them.

Butler Township commissioner Edward Natali confirmed that the Butler Township Police Dept ("BTPD") had NO security detail for this event. All seven officers were assigned to traffic detail. He wrote on Twitter on July 21 that "the BTPD was NOT responsible for securing AGR or any other location. Anyone who says so, reports on it, implies, etc... is uninformed, lying, or covering their own backsides. I trust I am being loud and clear."

Some jobs are men's work, and some are women's work. I do know women who would be extremely competent and deadly as bodyguards (unlike these pathetic SS girls who shamed themselves), but they are on the extreme end of the distribution of women's abilities in this regard. SS should be recruiting from the extreme end of the men's distribution.

But even so, if you gave them serious training I bet the average woman from among my junior/senior students would have more presence of mind and self-control under fire than these SS girls showed.

The leaders of America's "security" apparatus have already repeatedly broken laws in order to get Trump. It is obvious that deep state malice played an major role in the near murder of our president and one other, and the murder of a good American citizen.

Question: Why did the secret service agents allow Trump to stand up? If this shooting was a surprise to the USSS, then how did they know it was safe to let the president stand up immediately after only one shooter had been taken out? How did the USSS know there were no more shooters? Because they had planned the whole thing and they knew only one shooter was there.

WRT the Reagan video, you would have to time the reaction of the agents in milliseconds. It was pure instinct, rising above professional to the absolute best the country has to offer. Mesmerizing devotion to duty.

I would think the dead fireman had the same reaction speed saving his children from gunfire.

And for the female agent fiddling with her glasses, but made sure she didn’t drop them as she made a priority of her attention to hold onto with her fingers, as such rendering her gun arm useless. For her at what 5’5” to be protecting a man well over 6”, unbelievable. You can see two male agents trying to get over to where she is, as they can see at full height she is leaving a huge gap filled with Trumps head open to another bullet. Even in the iconic photo the difference between the male agents face and hers cowed downward, it’s truly shocking. Let’s make DEI a priority they said, what harm could there be they said. In closing I feel badly that these women were put into this position, now open to the wrath that followed.
